What is the difference between Off Shoring and Home Shoring

Off shoring is basically the outsourcing of parts of a business or a whole business to another country which is different from the country where your business was set up.

There are benefits to offshore outsourcing, financially it can be cheaper for a company to outsource to a foreign company as the cost of wages is sometimes considerably less.
Recruitment costs can in some cases be all but eliminated.
By globally offshoring you can run the risk of lowering your quality of customer service.
There have been occasions where companies have outsourced off shore and it has had a detrimental effect on their business do to language barriers and differing customer services levels.

Home shoring or home outsourcing as it’s sometimes know as is where companies outsource their work to people working from home. This is becoming very popular with working mums.

IT or call centre based business’s are increasingly turning to homeshoring as employers can be more flexible with their employees around working patterns.
In todays environmentally friendly focus, working from home also reduces carbon footprints as there is no commuting involved. Business’s also don’t have massive infrastructure costs as there is no need to house your employees in an office.
